Day 01 – Munnar – “The Southern Kashmir of
Kerala”
Our friendly representatie welcomes you to
Kerala at the Cochin Airport or Railway station and proceeds to Munnar,
known as the “nature lover’s paradise”. After 3 hours 30 minutes drive,
you’ll reach Munnar, where you check in to the hotel/resort. In the
evening, proceed to Mattupetty dam/Kundala dam for boating. On the way,
make a visit to the echo point & shooting point. A 7kms drive further down
will take you to the top station for a spectacular view. Overnight stay
will be arranged at the resort.
Day 02 – Munnar
Munnar, “The Gateway to the Hills”, has the
highest peak in South India – Anaimudi – which towers over 269 metres (of
course needs trekking) and Devikulam – a nature lovers’ retreat. Trout
fishing on the Devikulam lake is a major attraction. Eravikulam National
Park is the best place to see the Nilgiri Tahr, the mountain goat of South
India. Overnight at Munnar.
Day 03 – Thekkady
Morning after breakfast, proceed to Thekkady,
where you can check in to your resort and relax. Set out for sightseeing at
Thekkady, boating in Periyar Lake through the wildlife sanctuary and spice
plantations (coffee & cardamom) etc.
Day 04 – Thekkady
Morning after breakfast, proceed for
sightseeing at Thekkady to visit Murikkady, Pandikuzhy, Chellarkovil
viewpoint, etc. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 05 – Alleppey
Check out from the hotel at Thekkady and
proceed to Alleppey, the “Venice of the East”. It is famous for its
backwaters, boat races, houseboat holidays, beaches, marine and coir
products. A houseboat cruise through the narrow canal, paddy fields,
coconut lagoons and coir villages in Alleppey await you. Overnight stay in
the houseboat.
Day 06 – Drop at Cochin
We drive to the Airport or Railway station with
all the check-in formalities. |
